We’re expanding our charitable partnership to empower more young people through our ‘Building Aspirations’ programme.

Helping build resilient communities is a big part of who we are at RSA. Many of our colleagues are already making a difference in the communities where we live and work, right across the UK. Our colleagues volunteer their time, fundraise, and donate to support causes such as mental health, youth employability, and more.

Supporting UK Youth

In the first year of our employability partnership with UK Youth, the impact of our four local leads in Liverpool and Manchester, alongside many other supporting volunteers, has helped to change lives through transformative opportunities for the community:

  • 135 young people completed the programme, increasing their skills and confidence

  • Four young people secured paid work placements with RSA, with three of them continuing into permanent roles
  • Over £22,000 in scholarships were awarded to support young people in their career journeys

In 2025, we’re expanding the UK Youth ‘Building Aspirations’ programme to Leeds and Halifax to increase the number of young people who can access this important learning opportunity. Six colleagues have committed to volunteer this year and will work directly with UK Youth to deliver the programme.

Additionally, 10 RSA colleagues ran the London Marathon after raising vital funds for UK Youth. Collectively, they raised more than £20,000 which will support the delivery of the ‘Building Aspirations’ programme.
