Report a suspected fraud
To report suspected insurance fraud or a dishonest claim
- Contact the Insurance Fraud Bureau on their Cheatline: 0800 422 0421. Calls to this number are free and you can remain anonymous.

It’s important to act quickly if you think your bank account or card details have been used without your permission
- Contact your bank, credit card, or financial institution to tell them what’s happened. They often deal with these matters and will work through the next steps with you to set things right;
- Report the incident to the UK’s national fraud reporting centre, Action Fraud, by visiting their website or calling 0300 123 2040. Your case will go to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau overseen by the City of London Police who will give you a crime reference number.
