An early notification means a swift solution

If the incident is the fault of an RSA customer, our dedicated third-party capture team will make contact with the third party within 1 hour of notification. This could avoid the third party being approached by and appointing a solicitor or accident management company, significantly reducing costs.
Uninsured loss recovery
Our service provider will be able to support the customer to make their claim for uninsured losses against a third-party insurer, assist with any liability or quantum disputes and to provide support in respect of any injury claims for our insured driver and/or their passengers.
Major and complex claims (typically exceeding £100k in value)
Claims above a certain size and complexity need a different, often project managed approach, so our large and major loss claims handling team is made up of our most experienced claims specialists. The team have the skills to manage major events and protect your customers’ financial and reputational interests.

What to do at the scene of an accident
If necessary, stand away from the accident scene and call 999 if anyone is injured.
Call us as soon as possible for any advice and/or guidance.
Record a detailed description of what happened and collect as much information as possible.
Take photographs, note the time, date, location, traffic and weather conditions, number of passengers and vehicles involved (make, model, colour and registration number).
Get the contact details, description of driver(s), contact details of passengers, pedestrians/other witnesses and details of any police officers involved.
Record any injuries to anybody involved and note the damage.
